ClearSociety ("we", "our", "us") operates the ClearSociety mobile application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information — Name, email, phone number, and apartment/unit details provided during registration.
- Financial Data — Billing records, payment history, and expense details managed within your community.
- Camera — Used solely to scan QR codes for gate pass verification. Images are processed on-device and are not stored or transmitted.
- Device Information — Device type, OS version, and push notification tokens for delivering alerts.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Manage your community membership, billing, and payments.
- Process gate passes and visitor entry/exit logs.
- Send announcements, notifications, and maintenance updates.
- Generate community reports and financial summaries for authorized committee members.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with:
- Your community’s committee members (for management purposes).
- Service providers necessary to operate the platform (hosting, database).
4. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Access is controlled via role-based permissions and JWT authentication.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your community membership is active. You may request deletion by contacting your community administrator.
6. Children’s Privacy
ClearSociety is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
